FAQ

Questions we are often asked.

Do I have to come into the office?

We see clients by appointment at The Old Bakery on Frogmore Street, and we can also deal with a good deal by telephone, email and post. Call or email first and we will arrange a time that suits you.

Which solicitor should I speak to?

For buying or selling property, Richard Hughes. For a will, a trust or an estate, Peter Hughes. For divorce, finances or children, Nicola King. Each of them has a direct email, or you can call the office on 01442 891717 and we will point you to the right person.

What does it mean that Nicola is a member of Resolution?

Resolution is the national family-law body whose members follow a code of practice committing them to a constructive, non-confrontational approach to separation and divorce. It means we look for sensible agreements rather than fighting for its own sake, which usually costs less and settles sooner.

Can one firm handle my house sale and my will?

Yes. That is the point of a small local firm. The same office can deal with your conveyancing, your will and probate, and family matters, so you are not starting again with a stranger each time.

Where are you, and is there parking?

We are at The Old Bakery, 31 Frogmore Street, just off Tring High Street in the centre of town, with the usual town-centre parking nearby. Tring is in the Hertfordshire Chilterns, a few minutes from the A41 and Tring station.
